Music legend Willie Nelson was honored last Friday with a cool new bronze statue of his likeness in downtown Austin TX, the "live music capitol of the world". The ceremony was televised locally and broadcast on the Sirius XM channel "Willie's Roadhouse". Longtime collaborator Kris Kristofferson was among those who said a few words about his Songwriter and Stagecoach co-star. And after saying a few thank-yous, Willie performed 2 songs for the crowd: his signature tune from Honeysuckle Rose "On the Road Again" and "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die" from his upcoming album which also features a duet with Merle Haggard (a cover of "A Horse Called Music"). Can't wait to see the statue up-close one day!
