Racist cartoon Santa's Surprise (1947)
A racist cartoon for Christmas? Oh my. Back in 1947, was there no objection in the animation department at Paramount Pictures? Did no one in the studio department cry fowl at all of the racist images and characters?

ReplyDeleteHi Daniele! No, I haven't given too much thought of it. I did one time consider asking a friend of mine to be a co-blogger. It just never worked out.
ReplyDeleteSome other blogs have many team members and writers but for this one, it is just myself. I think I will keep it that way so that readers know that they are reading my opinions.
All I can say is that your blog should be on film studies curricula. Hopefully I wil be able to give you more input that just "Wow" and "amazing". But I am just lapping it up.
