I Don't Know How She Does It (2011)

This movie was not a success and was critically panned, but I enjoyed it. Sarah Jessica Parker plays a successful financial executive who rarely has time to spend with her two young kids due to her hectic schedule. There is a funny scene in the beginning where she buys a store bought pie and works like mad to make it look home made. The cell phone is a supporting character in the film; Sarah is always using it to call or text her husband (Greg Kinnear) when she's out of town, which is often.  Her co-workers include Seth Myers, Olivia Munn, boss (Kelsey Grammer) and new business partner Pierce Brosnan who sparks some romance. Though the film is not all that original, it has its moments, especially the scenes filmed on location in Boston. And it was fun to watch Sarah JP in something other than Sex and City for a change. There are a few classic movie references that score a points in my book: in one scene, Sarah JP and Greg Kinnear are at home on the sofa watching  Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday, and in another, Greg makes a reference to Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

One of the trailers that played before this film was for a new movie called The Artist.

It's an upcoming b/w film that is made to look like an authentic golden-age Hollywood film.  Co-sarring Penelope Ann Miller, James Cromwell, and John Goodman.

If you haven't seen it yet, you can watch it here.

Here's the trailer for I Don't Know How She Does It
