The "Great Film Directors" series featuring John Ford, Frank Capra, Billy Wilder, and John Huston is now available, as is the Jose Ferrer stamps, part of the "Distinguished American" series, not the "Legends of Hollywood Series", as Mr Ferrer's stage career is equally meritorious.

New U.S. stamps of classic movie stars

The other day I was in the post office and asked the clerk when the new Gregory Peck stamp was coming out. She gave me the "I have no idea" look.  So I went online and found out it'll be available on April 28. You can also pre-order it online from the post office website.

I also asked the same clerk when the new Helen Hayes stamp was coming out, and she looked at my like I was from outer space.  So I went to my trusty computer and found out it'll be available on April 25. You can also pre-order it online from the post office website.

The stamp of the two-time Oscar winning actress features a lovely illustration by Drew Struzan, who has designed countless movie posters over the years. Check out his website sometime and peruse his art.
