“I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.” Lorraine Minosa in ‘Ace in the Hole’ (1951). KC included this recently in a collection of her favorite quotes. It has always been a favorite of mine also. As I said to KC, I have known a few Lorraine Minosas in my time.
ReplyDeleteHi Gerald. Thanks for sharing. I missed that post from KC so I'll have to check it out. That line wasn't so memorable for me because I've known churches where you don't have to kneel.
ReplyDeleteGina: Didi, when life gives you lemons you make lemonade.
ReplyDeleteDidi: This isn't lemonade Gina, it's dogsh*t!
From "Little Man Tate"
From the movie. Tombstone.
ReplyDeleteJohnny Ringo: [Ringo steps up to Doc] And you must be Doc Holliday.
Doc Holliday: That's the rumor.
Johnny Ringo: You retired too?
Doc Holliday: Not me. I'm in my prime.
Johnny Ringo: Yeah, you look it.
Doc Holliday: And you must be Ringo. Look, darling, Johnny Ringo. The deadliest pistoleer since Wild Bill, they say. What do you think, darling? Should I hate him?
Kate: You don't even know him.
Doc Holliday: Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.
Good one, Dawn.
